Construction of a two-lane bridge with cantilever girders over the Simon Fraser River, the CN railway track and Queensway Street in Prince George, BC. This is a composite delta-leg bridge with continuous plate girders.

Type of Structure: Composite delta-leg highway bridge, 400 m (1,312 ft.) long - 5 spans
General Contractor: Surespan Construction
Consulting Engineers: Buckland & Taylor Ltd.
Owner: British Columbia Ministry of Transportation

Products and Services
Structal-Bridges

  • Fabrication of the steel structure of the bridge (2,300 tons) including 36 main beams (three 12-girder lines) and two 27-meter-long (88.6 ft.) delta legs
  • Longest girder: 34 m (111.5 ft.)

Goodco Z-Tech
  • 2 finger joints located at the bridge abutments with reinforced neoprene pipe culverts and cover plate assemblies on concrete chutes
    (13.6 m/44.6 ft. at the southern abutment and 17 m/55.8 ft. at the northern abutment)
