Reconstruction and widening of the Arthur-Sauvé Bridge located on Highway 148 between the cities of Laval and Saint-Eustache. This four-lane bridge crosses the Mille-Îles River.

Type of Structure: Highway bridge, 457 m long (1,499 ft.) - 10 spans
General Contractor: Garnier Construction
Consulting Engineers: SNC-Lavalin/Cima+ Consortium
Owner: Ministère des Transports du Québec

Products and Services
Structal-Bridges

  • Fabrication of the steel structure of the bridge (2,500 tons), including 128 main girders

Goodco Z-Tech
  • 79 elastomeric pot bearings: fixed (PF), multidirectional (PM) and unidirectional (PMG) models
  • 2 LG-4 modular joints (47.5 m/156 ft. total)

Highlights of the Project
  • Seismic fuses integrated into some of the pot bearings
  • The modular joints were designed to withstand earthquake movement
