Completion: 2011

Construction of a steel cable-stayed bridge for the completion of Highway 25. The six-lane bridge across the Rivière des Prairies links Montreal to Laval. The main cable-stayed span is approximately 500 m (1,640 ft.) long, and the welded girder approach spans are approximately 680 m (2,231 ft.) long.

Products and Services
Structal-Bridges

  • Fabrication of the steel bridge structure, including 197 girders for the cable-stayed section of the bridge, 8 box girders (4,400 tons), and 100 girders for the approach section of the bridge (7,000 tons)
  • Longest girder: 40 m (131 ft.)
  • The largest pieces are 3.8 m (12 ft.) high and 40 m (131 ft.) long, and weigh 80 tons

Goodco Z-Tech
  • Multidirectional elastomeric pot bearings (PM) on piers 10 and 11 of the main span
  • Wind tongue lateral pinning systems
  • Assembly of 400 bracings (930 tons)

Highlights of the Project
  • Structal-Bridges also fabricated 81 girders for three single-span overpasses for the same project (980 tons)
