Murox® Obtains Two Contracts Totaling $1.8 Million from Gendron & Gendron |

(BOUCHERVILLE, QC) – Murox®, a business unit of Canam Group Inc. (TSX: CAM) that specializes in the fabrication and marketing of high-performance building systems, obtained two contracts totaling $1.8 million from developer and contractor Gendron & Gendron located in Lewiston, Maine. The contracts were obtained via Murox®’s distributing agent, Ernest A. Ray & Associates, which conducts activities in the Lewiston/Augusta area of Maine.
The first contract, which is for a project called Spec. building #5, consists in the fabrication of 163 wall panels that will be used in the construction of commercial space. The building, which will have a total surface area of 58,075 square feet (5,395 m2), will be erected in Lewiston. Fabrication will begin at the end of March and installation is scheduled to be completed in May.
The second contract calls for the fabrication of 134 wall panels that will be phase #1 of a proposed 300,000 square feet (27,870 m2) Railroad Yard Building in Auburn, Maine. The phase #1 will have a total surface area of 103,460 square feet (9,610 m2). Fabrication is to begin in June and the wall panels will be erected on site starting in July 2007. Murox®’s unique expandable wall system that will be used in phase #1 will allow a substantial cost saving for the future phases #2 and #3.
