Murox® Wins a Contract to Manufacture 19 Portable Buildings in James Bay |

(BOUCHERVILLE, QC) – Murox®, the business unit of Canam Group Inc. (TSX: CAM) which offers design-build solutions for high-performance building envelopes, has secured a contract for the manufacture and installation of 19 Econox buildings. This contract worth $3 million was awarded to Murox® by Cree Construction and Development Company Ltd. for the Eastmain-1-A-Sarcelle-Rupert project located in northern Quebec, a project undertaken by the James Bay Energy Corporation (JBEC), a subsidiary of Hydro-Québec.
Under this contract, Murox® will manufacture and install 19 portable Econox buildings, each of which will cover an area ranging between 650 and 6,500 square feet (60 and 600 m2). These buildings, erected on temporary foundations composed of wood and concrete in the Rupert and Sarcelle work camps, will be used as warehouses, garages, workshops, laboratories and security buildings. The manufacture of the 11 buildings for the Rupert work camp began in late April and their field installation was completed in May. The remaining eight buildings for the Sarcelle work camp will be manufactured in September and installed in November 2007.
