InteliBuild Technyx Asia wins the BIMFusion.com Award

InteliBuild Technyx Asia has been honored again this year for its work on the Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal at the Hong Kong International Airport. In 2008, InteliBuild was presented with the Autodesk BIM Award for the cargo terminal project and, this time around, has won the 2009 BIMFusion.com Award in the Digital BIM Tools for Coordinating Building Systems category.

The objective of this category is to illustrate the various tools and methods used in coordinating multi-disciplinary building systems. BIMFusion is a business network whose members can discuss and share their thoughts on BIM and the BIM process as it relates to their discipline or the interaction between various disciplines and software.

The Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal project was designed using Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies and processes. Because of the complexity of designing and constructing the semi-automated material handling system (MHS), one of the most important tasks was to coordinate efforts related to the architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Construction of the Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal will begin in April 2010.
