| Description: |
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Operating cold forming mill for sheet channels and angles;
- Unloading coils and moving slit coils into fabrication area;
- Cleaning forming rolls for channel/bridging;
- Assisting with mill changeovers for different size product;
- Cleaning paint tanks;
- Operating forklift to unload wood for deck, take out strapping and to remove garbage;
- Conducting general area clean up;
- Performing scheduled maintenance on machinery;
- Operating crane to load and unload material on trailers in shop;
- Performing all other duties as assigned.

| Requirements: |
This role requires an individual with:
- Knowledge, experience and ability to operate cranes and forklifts;
- An aptitude for operating production equipment;
- Sound communication and English language skills (reading and writing);
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on a continual basis;
- The ability to multi-task efficiently while remaining highly self-motivated;
- A friendly, patient, team-oriented work ethic and a strong commitment to organizational values;
- Punctuality, maturity, reliability, an ability to work well under pressure.
Work environment:
Canam is a Steel Manufacturing environment with constant exposure to a shop environment with high levels of noise, dust, dirt and extreme temperatures (hot in summer and cold in winter). |

| Remuneration: |
| This unionized, permanent, full-time position is classified under wage group V of the Collective Agreement at a rate of $23.84 per hour. Benefits, profit-sharing, as well as opportunities for training, are also offered. |
