| Description: |
As a structural steel checker at Steel Plus Limited, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Final checking of execution drawings and assembly plans for steel structures
- Examine documents and specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of data according to architectural drawings
- Direct responsibility for quality and accuracy of drawings and details
- Identify new methods and procedures to improve the performance of detailers
- Establish and maintain quality standards
- Coordinate a drafting team as required (technical aspects)
- Inform personnel of new technical issues
- Provide technical support to personnel under your supervision
- Provide professional training to new members of the department
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

| Requirements: |
- Diploma in civil/mechanical engineering (DCE/DME) with four (4) years of experience in structural detailing
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, government regulations, drawings and specifications
- Ability to use computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience detailing steel structures using SDS/2 and/or Tekla
X-Steel software
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and/or French
- Ability to work well in a team environment
