| Description: |
The Engineering Manager supervises all activities at the Engineering Department which oversees all major structural steel projects undertaken by Canam Group. The incumbent’s main responsibilities are as follows:
- Assign duties to department employees according to their area of specialty in order to meet prescribed deadlines.
- Train and provide technical support to department employees.
- Conduct preliminary analyses to confirm project viability or enhance service offers.
- Establish standards and control the quality of the work performed by department employees.
- Assist the estimation and sales teams during the quotation process.
- Estimate and follow-up on project engineering costs.
- Evaluate the performance of department employees.
- Adjust the number of department employees according to the workload.

| Requirements: |
- University degree in civil engineering and licensed to practice in Canada or the U.S.
- Bilingual (verbal and written)
- Practical knowledge of CICA and AISC standards
- Excellent communication skills and ability to vulgarize complex construction techniques
- Ability to manage personnel
- 10 years of relevant experience in the steel construction sector
- Autonomous and available to travel frequently across North America
