| Description: |
Oversee environmental and safety compliance and related issues at all Canam U.S. facilities.
Essential functions:
- Ensure that all company facilities are in compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS) requirements.
- Create, promote, administer and review EHS programs.
- Train managers and other employees on EHS topics.
- Interact with outside agencies and auditors on EHS matters.
- Compile and submit reports, and maintain records.
- Review and assist in the development of facilities and processes to integrate optimum EHS practices.
Work environment:
General office environment with consistent exposure to a computer display screen. Exposure to worksite and fabrication environments with temperature extremes (hot and cold), noise, dirt and dust. Frequent travel is required. |

| Requirements: |
Minimum of five years of experience in EHS with extensive knowledge of related regulations and standards, and extensive environmental experience.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement EHS policies, programs, and controls.
- Knowledge of chemical engineering and industrial hygiene issues.
- Experience interacting with regulatory authorities.
- Experience in environmental compliance in a manufacturing environment.
- Effective organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work with company managers to develop solutions that protect employees and the environment while meeting production needs in a cost-efficient manner.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in occupational health and safety, chemical engineering, or a relevant technical field.
