Canam employees step out for a good cause

Last August 22, a number of Canam Group’s Beauce-area employees and their family members took part in a 24-hour walk-a-thon to raise funds for the Centre d’écoute téléphonique et de prévention du suicide de Beauce-Etchemins. This local organization provides an emergency hotline service and other resources to individuals contemplating suicide as well as support to their families.

The different teams that participated in the fundraiser took turns relaying each other throughout the overnight walk. The Canam team, which marched the final hour of the event, crossed the finish line flying the 50th anniversary flag and proudly presented organizers with a cheque for $937. Thank you to all Canam team members and their generous sponsors. Over $28,000 was raised in the scope of the walk-a-thon.
